Founding Membership

Benefits of a Founding Membership include*:

• Personalized certificates and a Muskoka Mug with CMM’s logo.

• Quarterly newsletter to keep them updated on CMM’s progress.

• Free teachings via email or online, to be announced.

• Guaranteed 15% discount on all and any future retreat offerings. Non-transferrable.

• Their name on a founding tribute such as a cloth scroll or a plaque to hang in rental retreat space and in the future Centre.

• Voting rights at the AGM.

• Most importantly, they will be part of the grass-roots efforts to make The Centre a reality.

Details

• After five years, in 2026, the existing Founding Memberships will roll into a Stewardship Circle.

• The funds from these memberships will be used for start-up costs including legal fees, rental space, events and other fundraising activities, and a potential employee.

• The Founding Membership annual fee is $100, $150, or $200 based on the member’s ability to contribute.

• If a Founding Member is willing and able, they can contribute a greater amount if it brings them joy.

• Monthly payment options are available for Founding Memberships.

Conditions

• Founding Memberships are not eligible for tax receipts (the monetary value of the benefits will potentially outweigh the cost of the membership and this is mainly due to the 15% off future retreats). 

• General memberships will be eligible for tax receipts once CMM has received their Registered Charity Status.

• The discount to future offerings applies for any founding member. If the annual commitment has not been met for a minimum of two years the discount will be revoked.
